Since the building was to be erected on its new site exactly as the original, it was important to mark all the logs, stays, girders and roof trusses. The roof trusses were slender and nicely shaped.
The local housing committee in Gagnef was concerned about the construction. They questioned whether the roof would hold the weight of the snow. But, it had carried the weight of heavy Swedish snow for 100 years!
